Uchipillaiyar how to come to site on Top

In the epics of Ramayan, Vibhishan was the younger brother of the Asura King Ravana who ruled Lanka (now known as Srilanka). Rama rescued, his wife Sita, who was kidnapped and held by Ravana. With the help of Sugriva and Hanuman Rama defeated him. In this war, the moral and truth-abiding brother of Ravana, Vibhishan aids Rama in his battle against his own brother. After the victory against Ravana, Rama came back to Ayodhya  with Sita . In Ayodhya Rama had his Pattabishekam festival  as a KING. Vibhishan also accompained them to Ayodhya. After the festival and celebrations, Vibhishana wanted to return back to SriLanka and take charge. As a token of love Rama presented him Ranga Vimanam for which he personally performed poojas till then. Rama on presenting the idol and Vimanam told Vibhishan to take it to Lanka and install it there with the condition that on the way back, the idol must not be placed on the ground anywhere for any reason. Vibhishan agreed and thankfully took it from Rama and carried it on his way to Lanka. While passing by the city of Trichy, Vibhishan was fascinated by the beauty of the river Cauvery. He felt that it was the right place for him to have his bath and rest before proceeding to Lanka. He looked around for some help to keep the Ranga Vimanam till he finished his bath. At the time he finds Lord Vinayaka in disguise of a cowherd boy. Vibhishan handed over the Ranga Vimanam to him and strictly told him not to place it on the ground till he came back. The boy agreed and told him that he would call Vibhishana thrice and if he didn’t come back, he would keep it down and go away. Vibhishan agreed and went into the waters and was enjoying the bath in the river. The boy called him thrice and Vibhishana did not respond as he was in waters. The boy kept the idol on the ground and it started growing big enormously.(It is now called as Boologa Vaikuntam ,Srirangam). On seeing this, Vibhishan became angry and  chased the boy to punish him. He knocked the boy on his forehead with anger at the top of Rockfort. The boy revealed himself as Lord Vinayaka to Vibhishan. Vibhishan immediately apologized and the Lord gave him his blessings and sent him off to Lanka. The Lord Vinayaka(who played tricks on Vibhishan to retain Lord Ranga at Srirangam in Trichy) is worshipped as Uchi Pillaiyar at the hill top. Even today one can see a wound on his head caused by the knock of Vibhishan. You can see the foot mark of Vibhisana on the rock.
